DIY - Floral Headpiece

Posted by Vanzilla ON May 15, 2012 IN Do It Yourself

Yesterday's beautiful weather inspired me. It reminded me of the good times we have coming outdoors, like at Osheaga, Tam Tams and the many Piknik Electronik's. So, I made my way to the local Dollarama to finally buy the items I needed to create something I've been wanting to make since last summer: a crown of flowers.

What you need:

1. Plastic flowers

2. Old unwanted headbands

3. Crazy Glue

4. Scissors

First, you remove the flowers from their "stems". I thought I would need scissors, but they're really easy to pull off. You then remove the plastic centers of the flowers until there's nothing left but fabric.

Take one of your old headbands and crack open a tube of Crazy Glue. Place the flower where you want it and glue the center of it onto the headband. Keep on doing the same thing and adding as many flowers as you want until you're satisfied with your newest festival piece! It's that easy. Best part? All the materials cost me less than 6$ (not counting the scissors which I already owned). I had so much leftovers and it took so little time that I also made one for my friend Genny. Check out the pictures below to see how it's made.
