BLAZE Style Inspiration - Grunge

Posted by Vincent Eric ON Sep 15, 2011

The first look we’ve put together for you is inspired by elements of a punk background – taking in elements from 90s grunge fashion. It’s cheap, it’s durable, and in some senses, the aesthetic is almost timeless – flannel and worn out denim will always have that rebellious connotation. And it's a perfect look to rock to our upcoming event, Indecent Xposure & Pop MTL: BLAZE.

Hoisery by American Apparel (20$) / Striped Short by Forever 21 (14$) / Pentagram T-Shirt by SWAS (20$) / Troopa Laced Boot by Steve Madden (99$) / Quartz Necklace by SWAS (32$)

For women, we’ve taken the whole aesthetic and given it a lot more sex appeal – and a lot more skin. The combination of the traditionally feminine hosiery from AA with a pair of combat boots will surely turn a few heads – and good thing, since bad girls need love too. Oh, and make sure to bring along your coziest vintage sweater in case you get cold if you happen to step outside.

Vintage Denim Vest / T-Shirt by Once Youth (28$) / Creepers by TUK (67$) / Worn out denim pants from Forever 21 (38$) / Woven Skull Link Bracelet by Links of London (250$)

For men, we’ve picked out washed out denim with a tee-shirt by ONCE YOUTH which channels the whole rebel without a cause look. As for footwear, we’re edging it up with this creepers by TUK, which are a definitely a conversation piece – in a good way. Last, build yourself some hand-woven bracelets for some added authenticity – we’ve included an overpriced inspiration piece from Links of London.
