A couple of weeks ago, I had the pleasure to attend the official premiere of the Piu Piu documentary hosted by IX pals Aïsha Vertus and Philippe Sawicki. It was quite the heartwarming sight - beatmakers and producers of the Piu Piu variety putting out their best space-inspired hip-hop crafts as supporters and music lovers attended and cheered on. Here is the first part of the presentation where a couple of our local artists share their personal meaning of what is 'Piu Piu'. As a result of it being based in Montréal, subtitles were made available due to a large portion of the documentary being conducted in French (and some in English).
