Tupac showed up to Coachella (and might tour further)

The Dre and Snoop Dogg headlining Coachella tour is not likely to be forgotten soon; with apearances by Kendrick Lamar, Wiz Khalifa, 50 Cent, Eminem, and a holographic Tupac. This spectacularly entertaining guest was created by Digital domain, a Venice company which includes James Cameron as one of its founders. Here is what the Chief Creative Office Ed Ulbrich said about the hologram: "To create a completely synthetic human being is the most complicated thing that can be done. This is not found footage. This is not archival footage. This is an illusion." It is estimated that a single hologram performance costs between 100,000$ and 400,000$ and Dre is said to be considering two possible options : a stadium tour involving a virtual Tupac, 50 Cent, Eminem, Wiz Khalifa, Snoop & Dre or a smaller stadium tour involving only Dre, Snoop, and holographic Tupac.
