Pitchfork appropriately described Star Slinger as a producer who 'combines the hyper soul sampling of Kanye West or Dipset producers Heatmakerz with a bubbling psychedella reminiscent of J Dilla's spacier moments'. And as it so happens, last week I had the opportunity to witness the UK hip-hop producer as he made a stop in Montréal to perform a live set with fellow producers Shlohmo and Shigeto. Needless to say, it was quite the lineup for a mellow Tuesday evening. While on this North American tour, he churned out an instrumental piece in a van fittingly entitled 'Moet & Reese' which he is generously giving out for free. Snip it below!
